Miels d'Anicet

The heart of Miels d’Anicet

We are the honey farm.

A dedicated team of beekeepers, production, and sales professionals who love their work, life, people, and certainly, the bees.

Big Announcement: A New Chapter Begins at Miels d’Anicet

The two young adults we were 25 years ago have come a long way, and our little honey house on Rang Gravel has grown into a mature beekeeping business that we’re incredibly proud of.
Our love for bees and for the wild territory of the Hautes-Laurentides was passed down to us by Anicet’s parents, Claude and Marie-Claude. Their greatest legacy was the desire to do things differently—genuinely and with care.

Wow, we’ve accomplished so much over the years—driven by love, curiosity, time, bee stings, teamwork, and of course, the incredible support of our extended community: clients, suppliers, friends, family, and so many more.

Anicet has always been the guardian of our bees, the honey hunter, and the source of entomological knowledge about bees.
As for me, I poured my heart into growing the honey house, developing honey-based products, leading with empathy, caring for our customers, and educating our ecosystem about the culture of honey.

Today, our deep values guide us in doing things properly, to ensure the sustainability of Miels d’Anicet—its buzzing universe and its bees. For us, and for our incredible team who has contributed so much to this journey, establishing a succession plan is essential.

Transferring a farm is a complex and emotional process—it lies at the very heart of our life’s project. It’s not just about handing over the keys to the honey house, but also about passing on the torch of our ideals, our passion, and our expertise.

It is with joy that we introduce to you Kaven Davignon, the new generation and new owner of Miels d’Anicet. A trusted family man, Kaven kept his word, and over the past three years spent with us, his love for bees has only grown stronger.

Anne-Virginie Schmidt

“I was seduced by the bees.” A certified accountant by training, Anne-Virginie one day left urban life for life on the farm. Today, her work involves promoting honey, showcasing its culinary potential and use in body care. She is also dedicated to developing honey culture in Quebec, raising awareness of the bee’s role in our environment, and contributing to the region’s dynamism.

Anicet Desrochers

Co-founder and co-owner

Born in a hive, Anicet has a deep love for this fantastic insect and the science of apidology. He is also driven by the desire to contribute to the survival of bees by naturally reducing their mortality rate through the selection and breeding of rustic queens adapted to their environment. Daily, he oversees the health of our colonies and shares his expertise internationally to advance beekeeping science.

Kaven Davignon

Owner and general Manager

Trained as an urban planner, Kaven proudly and dedicatedly holds the position of general manager. His expertise in management, technology, and regional development contributes to the growth of Miels d’Anicet and the respect of its values.
