Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of unpasteurized autumn honey
    145 g (1 cup) of almonds

Suggested variations

You can substitute almonds with pralines, hazelnuts, or peanuts. It’s delightful to add curry (1 tablespoon) and powdered coconut (1 tablespoon) or Espelette pepper for a slight kick. Dissolve the spice in the honey before cooking.

Preparation steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the honey with the almonds until they are well coated. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until the mixture takes on a lovely amber color. Remove from the oven and let cool for 1 hour.
