Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of unpasteurized autumn honey
145 g (1 cup) of almonds
Suggested variations
You can substitute almonds with pralines, hazelnuts, or peanuts. It’s delightful to add curry (1 tablespoon) and powdered coconut (1 tablespoon) or Espelette pepper for a slight kick. Dissolve the spice in the honey before cooking.
Preparation steps
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the honey with the almonds until they are well coated. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until the mixture takes on a lovely amber color. Remove from the oven and let cool for 1 hour.
