- Serving
- 1 mask
- Preparation time
- 10-15 minutes
- Storage
- 30 days in the refrigerator
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of clay suitable for your skin type (see note)
1 tablespoon of pollen
3 tablespoons of hydrosol suitable for your skin type (see note)
1 teaspoon of unpasteurized summer honey
-
Note
- White clay is ideal for normal skin. It gently cleanses the skin and remineralizes it. It is milder than green clay, which tends to dry the skin a bit more and is therefore recommended for oily skin. Pink clay is perfect for dry and sensitive skin, while red clay is suitable for problem skin.
- Rosemary hydrosol is simply refreshing. Rose hydrosol is recommended for couperose and eczema, while chamomile hydrosol soothes sensitive skin. Lavender hydrosol calms irritated skin (such as from sunburn), while orange blossom hydrosol is suitable for all skin types.
Preparation steps
- Mix the clay and pollen in a small container, then cover the mixture with the hydrosol and honey. Let it swell for about 30 minutes. Once the clay has fully absorbed the liquid, mix everything together. The desired consistency is creamy, not too runny, to facilitate application. If the mask is too thick, add a bit of hydrosol.
- Using a brush, apply an even layer to the face, avoiding the mouth and eye area. Leave on for at least ten minutes. The mask should never dry. If needed, moisten the mask during the pause by spraying a little hydrosol on the face. Rinse with lukewarm water. Splash the face with a bit of hydrosol to refresh the skin.
- If using the mask later, store it in an airtight container.
