A New Chapter Begins: Meet Kaven Davignon
Hello to our beloved Miels d’Anicet community,
From the heart of our blooming valley, facing the Devil’s Mountain, surrounded by our hives and wrapped in the hum of bees, we’re reaching out to share a big announcement:There’s a new generation arriving on Rang 2 Gravel!
The two young adults we were 25 years ago have grown, and our little honey house on Rang Gravel has blossomed into a mature beekeeping business—one we are deeply proud of.
Our love for bees and for the wild lands of the Hautes-Laurentides was passed down to us by Anicet’s parents, Claude and Marie-Claude. Their greatest legacy? A desire to do things differently—with authenticity, integrity, and heart.
Wow, we’ve accomplished so much over the years—with love, curiosity, time, bee stings, teamwork, and, of course, with the incredible support of our extended community: customers, suppliers, friends, family, and so many more.
Anicet has always been the guardian of our bees, the honey hunter, and the source of entomological wisdom.
As for me, I’ve poured my heart into growing the honey house—developing honey-based products, leading with care, nurturing our customer relationships, and educating our ecosystem about the culture of honey.
Anne-Virginie will continue her role within the company by overseeing public relations, leading special projects, and serving as a trusted business advisor to me and the farm’s management team.
Her strategic vision, creativity, and deep knowledge of Miels d’Anicet are invaluable assets that I’m grateful to continue benefiting from.
Anicet, for his part, will remain the guardian of our bees. He will carry on his work in genetic selection and queen breeding, preserving this essential expertise that ensures the vitality of our colonies and the quality of our honey. His deep connection to the bees and to the land will remain at the heart of everything we do.
More than anything, I want to highlight the commitment and talent of our team. They are my colleagues—craftspeople, beekeepers, managers, and creators—who keep the heart of Miels d’Anicet beating every single day. Their expertise, attention to detail, and passion are at the core of all that we accomplish. This transition toward the future could not happen without them.
They are the keepers of our know-how, the ambassadors of our values, and the driving force of our innovation. It is with them that I hope to build what comes next—rooted in continuity, yet guided by the courage to dream further.
I’m fully aware of the richness of the legacy I’ve been entrusted with, and it’s with deep respect and gratitude for our team that I intend to help it grow—with all of you.
I also want to sincerely thank everyone who has shared words of encouragement and support since the announcement of this transition. Loyal customers, partners, suppliers, friends, neighbors, and community members—your warm welcome has touched me deeply and gives me even more momentum for what lies ahead.
Come visit us this summer on Rang 2 Gravel in Ferme-Neuve—and thank you for being part of this journey.
See you very soon,
– Kaven
