Big Announcement : Welcoming the Next Generation at Miels d’Anicet
Hello to our wonderful Miels d’Anicet community,
From the heart of our blooming valley, facing Devil’s Mountain, surrounded by our hives and enveloped in the hum of the bees, we’re reaching out to share some big news:
A new generation is joining us on Rang 2 Gravel!
The two young adults we were 25 years ago have grown, and our small honey house on Rang Gravel has become a mature beekeeping business—one we are incredibly proud of.
Our love for bees and for the wild landscapes of the Hautes-Laurentides was passed down to us by Anicet’s parents, Claude and Marie-Claude. Their greatest legacy was a deep desire to do things differently—and always with authenticity and care.
Wow—what a journey it’s been! We’ve accomplished so much over the years, all with love, curiosity, time, bee stings, teamwork, and of course, the unwavering support of our amazing community: customers, suppliers, friends, family, and many more.
Anicet has always been the guardian of our bees, the honey hunter, and the go-to source for entomological knowledge.
As for me, I’ve poured my heart into growing the honey house—developing honey-based products, leading with empathy, caring for our clients, and educating our ecosystem about the culture of honey.
Today, our core values lead us to do things properly, ensuring the sustainability of Miels d’Anicet, its buzzing universe, and its bees. It is essential for us, and for our incredible team who has contributed so much to our journey, to establish a succession plan.
Farm transfer is a complex and emotional reality, at the very heart of our life project. It’s not just about handing over the keys to the honey house, but about passing on the torch of our ideals, our passion, and our expertise.
It is with great joy that we introduce to you today Kaven Davignon, the next generation and new owner of Miels d’Anicet. A family man and a person of trust, he has kept his word, and his love for the bees has only grown over the past three years spent with us.
He arrives with the energy of his thirties, a desire to preserve our heritage while bringing fresh ideas, solid professional experience, and a strong will to rely on the founders to build the future. His enthusiasm, values, and deep roots in the region make him a successor we are extremely proud of.
We, the co-founders, will always be here, not far away, within the Miels d’Anicet ecosystem. Anicet will remain in charge of the bee colonies and queen breeding, while Anne-Virginie will continue to shine a light on this wonderful jewel of the Hautes-Laurentides.
Our commitment to Quebec beekeeping, the survival of the bees, and the culture of honey in Quebec is ingrained in our DNA—and that will never change.
We look forward to welcoming you at the farm this summer to share this exciting news.
Now, here’s to the next generation!
