Honey and oat scrub
Exfoliating the skin is a simple yet essential beauty treatment, as my esthetician always tells me. It helps eliminate dead skin cells, revitalizing the skin and leaving it soft, supple, and more radiant. I have to say, I love making my own scrubs because they are just as effective and cost only a fraction of the price. Plus, I have control over the ingredients (freshness, quality, etc.).
The benefits of the scrub
This honey scrub is simple, gentle, and very effective, as it exfoliates the skin while nourishing it. Honey, with its 80% sugar content, helps to attract water molecules to the skin, promoting hydration. It also has regenerating properties due to its rich content of vitamins (A, B, C, D, H, K, and PP), amino acids, fatty acids, minerals (iron, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, sodium), and trace elements (copper, selenium, zinc, and others). Additionally, honey helps to combat aging naturally due to its antioxidant richness. The ginger in the scrub stimulates blood circulation. It’s best to apply it in the shower to eliminate the stickiness of the honey. However, it’s important not to over-exfoliate to avoid drying out the skin.
